Voting in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJ poll has been closed and votes counted and verified. It’s only a matter of time now before the winner is unleashed at the Top 100 bash on Wednesday 28th October, held for the second year running at Ministry Of Sound.
It’s a poll that receives much speculation over who will scoop the top spot, and what the weight of winning the title is actually worth. The premier league of trance DJs (aka Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk) have held the top spots for as long as we can remember, but there’s always some fascinating new entries, high climbers and surprises of those who fall out the poll altogether.
Whatever your view on the whole thang, it’s an event that DJs spend months campaigning for and the industry and clubbers alike getting excited about. Last year’s party was a complete road block, sweaty and crowded, but altogether a great shindig!
Poker PR staff were there with our client Agwa de Bolivia serving up ‘Bolivian Kisses’ in the VIP room, whilst also presenting the highest achieving DJs with gifts from M-audio in the form of their award winning MicroTrack II audio recorder.
Get there early when the Ministry doors open at 9pm and the door tax is£10 – higher than previous years, but more proceeds can go to DJMag’s chosen charity, the Royal Institute For The Deaf.
Who will be crowned the Top DJ of 2009? Get yourself to Ministry to find out.
