Phonetic Ibiza packshot

Poker PR is thrilled to have bagged the online music promotion for Phonetic Recording’s debut Ibiza compilation – Phonetic Ibiza 2010 mixed by Leigh Devlin and label boss, hit producer, award winning A&R man and DJ Rob Roar, respectively.
Despite Phonetic having more number 1 hit records in Ibiza than any other label, this is their first compilation.  Due for digital release on 26th July and physical release on 8th August the album boasts over 17 world exclusives and a sharp track selection from scene leaders Axwell, Deadmau5, Michael Gray, Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas), Dave Seaman, and Martijn ten Velden.
Phonetic Ibiza gets its own launch party on Sunday 8th August at Sands, Playa den Bossa, Ibiza – just opposite Space – where Rob Roar and a collection of superstar guests from the Phonetic  label will appear.
The two disc Night and Day Compilation is another feather in Phonetic’s already impressive cap.  That said, with someone as instrumental to the house scene as Rob Roar at the helm, it was never going to be anything else…

Gap Yah Pack Shot

Orlando, the uber-posh Fulham-lashed Gap Yah student from the hilarious ‘Gap Yah’ skit on YouTube, has bagged himself a record deal with Poker PR working on the online and social promotion for this banterous release!

iTunes rushed through the Gap Yah single to make it available for download just 24 hours after hearing it. The song, plus a dance remix, is due for release on all other platforms on 2nd August.

‘Gap Yah’ has been written and produced by internationally acclaimed writer / producer Adrian Zagoritis, who’s had over 300 releases worldwide on both major and dance labels, often working with writers for KyIie Minogue, Moby and Madonna.

It’s a Guetta-laced floor-filler interwoven with Orlando’s lines from the sketch. With Electro-spiked beats, this one is Benassi meets Banter in Burma, creating something you’re very unlikely to have ever heard before. And the chorus? Well, it just Chunders Everywah! Listen here

The ‘Gap Yah’ video, performed by actor Matt Lacey (aka Orlando) of The Unexpected Items comedy group, so far has an amazing 1.9m hits on YouTube.

Azuli Records have enlisted Poker PR’s digital media services to promote their Azuli presents Miami 2010 album.

Our agency will apply a full-scale, targeted mail out for the new album, applying creative ideas for coverage across digital and print media.

It’s a double celebration for Azuli as this album, which notoriously predicts the big tunes to come out of the @Miami Winter Music Conference, is the 10th in its series, and the label itself is celebrating 20 years since its first release in 1990.

There a whopping 7 exclusive releases on this album, due out in March in both download and CD formats (mixed and unmixed), from the likes of @Deadmau5 & @Chris Lake, and @Seamus Haji.

“The CD represents the main styles that’ll happen this year. It’ll be much housier and leaning more to the groovy snares and rolling beats that are around at the moment, rather than the more minimal and chunky electro house grooves of recent years.” David Piccioni, Azuli

kramnik_logoWe’re as excited as kids in a sweetshop as we’ve snapped up the fantastic DJ Kramnik to our roster.

This up ‘n’ coming DJ has got the UK music press all in a quiver over his 90 minute feature length, album mixes he creates with more passion and dedication than the DJ scene has witnessed in a long time. Kramnik spends literally hours every day researching new music for his immaculately crafted mixes.

From progressive to techno and electro, and everything else in between, his mixes tell an emotive musical story, and so much so that DJ Mag made his first mix ‘The Zen Zong’ a Top Pick in their June issue; iDJ flagged him up as ‘one to watch’, and Total Kiss FM exclusively aired the mix in their ‘Main Room Mix Session’ slot.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, he’s created a brand new 90 minute mix called ‘The K Song’ which you can download for free on his website www.kramnik.dj Please sign his guest book and let us know what you think. He’ll be playing an excerpt from this mix, live at the BPM event in Birmingham this Saturday 3rd October.
